Dr. Sarah B. Steinberg, CEO
For more than 30 years, Sarah’s professional and personal interests have been at the intersection of technology and education. She is experienced in strategic marketing and communications, academic planning and program review, technology applications for academic and administrative implementations, and student services. She is a recognized leader, presenter, and author.
After spending more than a dozen years as a practicing civil engineer, Sarah joined Johns Hopkins University in 1993 and held several senior level leadership positions in the School of Engineering, the School of Arts and Sciences, and the Provost’s Office. Among many academic and administrative accomplishments, she led the university wide selection and implementation plan for the Student Information System, as well as the selection and implementation of WebCT, Sakai, and later Blackboard. She was involved in the development and implementation of more than a dozen fully online masters degree programs reaching more than 5000 graduate students per year. In 2012, she was named the Executive Vice Provost of Johns Hopkins University, with responsibility for university-wide strategic initiatives, including professional and continuing education, as well as online and distance education.
Sarah is the Founder and CEO of Frogstone Strategies, a higher education consulting firm specializing in online, continuing and professional education. Sarah is a frequent presenter and is also a Lecturer for Georgetown University, teaching an online graduate course in enterprise modernization.
